Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what personal data ChartView collects, why, and how it is handled. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.

Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address and authentication details when you register.
  • Usage data: the charts, saved charts and views you create, and credit usage tied to your account.
  • Billing data: subscription status and plan. Card and payment details are handled by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: basic logs and, where used, analytics and cookies to keep the Service secure and improve it.

Authentication

Accounts and sign-in are managed using a secure authentication provider. Passwords are stored in hashed form and verification and password-reset emails are sent to confirm ownership of your email address.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive limited information such as your subscription status and plan, not your full payment details.

Saved and public views

Saved charts and views are tied to your account and private by default. If you publish a view, the chart content you choose to share becomes accessible via a public link. Published views are intended to contain only the data you share, not your personal account details.

Analytics & cookies

We may use essential cookies to keep you signed in and, where enabled, privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account data; some limited records may be retained where required for legal, security or billing reasons.
